Default Planning On Getting Cable TV On My PC

Hi there, I know alot about the boxes and how to program cards etc but I was wondering how I would go about getting cable TV on my PC? I know I would need a DVB-C PC card and also a CAM module, what would be the best to buy and could I use a ROM11 MOSC card in a CAM module?

Thanks.

U dont have to get a CAM module u can do it by software if u get the right card. U use a software called V plug and it will unlock all channels my neighbour has it and i set it up for him. Cant remember what Pci Card's u can use but im sure it will be the cheaper option. His hasnt gone off for ages. Im sure someone will know what Pci cards and where to get them from. I think u have to get them from a german site if im correct. Also as for hard cam u prob wondering how u pair it well the cam interface has its own BK and as far as im aware u can change it aswell on some Cam Interface and u just program ur mosc card or funcard to that BK. Simples.

Hi blakey 8, as smurf says softcam is the cheapest route, all software to get you decrypting is free.

AFAIK the CI don’t work for uk cable with this card (softcams do) is cheap enough and from the uk.

Is the best card that uses cams+card, this works with windows media center etc but is very expensive with the price of the cam to add.
