Default Kernel mode driver

Guys, need a bit of help here,

I've just done a product recovery for a mates Toshiba Satellite L series laptop and now every time I boot up I get an error message as follows

'can not open ACPI ATK0100 Kernel mode driver'

I'm guessing this has something to do with a Vista windows update as I keep getting the update ready message. So I update, configure and up pops the fault again, when I check to see what has updated one shows as failed (vista update). Then the update message appears again !

Tried google but nobody has any answers that I can understand !!!

Cheers in advance for any help.

dont know if its of any relevance but radarsync is free driver software which will scan all attacched hardware and dowload the up to date ones for you with the correct installer.

Just to update to help anyone else who may come across the same issue -

It was down to using the wrong product recovery disk !!!! Vista stopped working completely after a while, so when I double checked everything before running the product recovery again I noticed they'd given me a disk for the Equium and not the Satellite I was after. Everything has been fine since the correct one installed.

Hope this helps anyone else.
