hi m8, when you patch a receiver it allows you to open the channels without the use of cards or cams, you enter keys when the encryptions change, keys can be entered by the remote manualy or by useing the softcam keys these are loaded the same way as patching, after you set the loader panel to keys, and is faster than entering by the remote. so to recap:- patching opens the channels and keys are added when required. by having a receiver that can be patched it's a lot cheaper to get chns: open as a dragon cam and a cas 3 programmer can cost as much as a technomate. and the patch can open everything that this cam opens. |
