Re: TM1000 Series Patching, Softcam, Key Edit Complete Video Tutorials

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone would answer a couple of basic questions that have me more than a little confused concerning patching and Tps key changes.

I am a newbie, very newbie indeed, and as green as grass.
My equipment is Technomate 1500 CI+ with Diseqc H-H motorised TM-2100A dish.

Until recently I enjoyed watching Multivision Channels but they have now disappeared... due perhaps to TPS Key changes. I have reviewed video clips on patching and key changes along with other useful info posted by members. I feel confident I now know 'HOW TO' so to speak, but I am confused what steps have to be taken, if any, after patching. i.e. it is still necessary input key changes after patching or are the key changes done automatically as part of the patching process.

I have ordered, serial cable and USB-RS232 adapter for patching but not yet received so I was wondering, as my kit is relatively new, the latest patch might already be present, therefore, if I had the latest TPS AES Keys I could try changing the keys... just one small problem... I can't seem to find the latest TPS AES Keys... can anyone help or point me in the right direction please in addition to answering the patch/keys question.
Regards,

hi m8,
you need a patch every week at the moment to keep tps open
and the latest patch for this week was out 20/10/06
tps are changing keys very regularly and adding keys with the remote
will send you round the twist, you will be adding keys every few minutes
there are keys in the key section for d+taquilla channels on astra 19e
and hispasat 30w, if your system is motorised, and that will keep you going
until you get your cable, then everything will be much easier.
good selection of film, sport, doc's,adult and many more i find these
channels better than the tps channels.
i take it you know the easy way to add keys by remote
go to a channel that is scrambled and press mute then exit on the remote
and enter the keys on the panel that opens then store and return to the
channel, you might have to change channel to get the keys to engage
when adding keys for d+ use any taquilla channel

Hi Clipper,
Flabergasted at the rapid response, many thanks. Cheers too for the info regarding Astra and Hispasat.. will give it a go.
Yes I believe I know how to add keys using the remote but poof of the pudding as they say will be when I try it for the first time. Will let you know the outcome.
Once again, Many thanks.
