is it true you can get a internet connection through your hacked set top box by connecting a router to it? if so what kind of speed are we looking at and how easy is it to set up ?

I Personally disagree.
I doubt you would be able to get broadband through your hacked set top box for the reason that, in a Pace or Sammy or any other Ex-Sub cable box, in order to keep the hacked box secret from the Network you are require to cut "talkback" in the cable box (Unless you want the Provider Knocking on your door) In doing this it disables the boxes abilty to send data back up the cable feed, If you typed in your browser www.GOOGLE.co.uk for example, the browser needs to send that data to the server - which it couldnt do if talkback had been cut. So In theory Yes it could be done but your provider would catch you. Just get a Silver Modem and Use MAC swapping to get your internet service Hope this helps Mick |
