Hi

I have read numerous tutorials and fixes for soft JTAG and console unlocker but I just can not get this to work console unlocker reports that the console should now be active but soft JTAG reports connection established but then a timeout error appears. I have tried this on a vista machine a xp machine as clean built XP machine with a USB converter 232 interface and a 232 port on my motherboard but whatever I try I can't connect I have seen a few people with this issue but have not seen a fix anywhere please help me im about to mangle this modem

Right I have some progress but not much I can verify that console unlocker is deffinately working as I am able to connect in hyper terminal and get the CM prompt but soft JTAG just will not connect

Have you tried all of the different versions of softJTAG??

As far as I am aware yes I grabbed a zipfile with softjtag
3.10bbbmod
3.10 normal
3.01

are there any others? Is there anyway of flashing the firmware from a console connection?

Did you install the J# Runtime?

yeah I have the runtime installed and have registered the OCX files but it refuses to work just get a timeout error mentioning JIT debugging

Yeah have just tried the 3.01 again to compare the errors and its identical

Just a guess, but google: JIT download

and install it.
