Default Setting up Haxorware

Once you have flashed your modem this is how you set up haxorware to get you online.
STEP1:
Load INTERNET EXPLORER and press 192.168.100.1 in the address bar and it
Should take you to the Haxorware page to sort out the settings, well the settings are as follows (Click the Settings Picture)
The click "Save"
STEP2:
Click "Frequency"
Preferred DS Freq 1 – 402750000 this is for NTL, TW is 331000000 (there are diff ones for your area.) Check picture named (Frequency) once you have done this click "SAVE"

STEP 3:
Click "Addresses"
Now you will need a working mac just look at the picture shows you how to set it up (Check picture named "MAC"

STEP4:
If you want to force the 20mb option, then you can use a 20mb config file you have. (if you have dyanmic config then you will NOT be able to force)
Just click on the left side "Config File"

That's it done Click save and reboot unplug your modem from the Mains connect your cable feed happy surfing

Hi 50pounds
Once again thanks for your reply to my original email. I changed my network adapter to the settings you suggested.

IP address: 192.168.100.10
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.100.1

I connected modem to PC via Ethernet Cable and powered it up. I did not connect the cable feed. Typing 198.168.100.10 managed to get to Haxorware page. Spent just under 1 hour on this page with it trying to acquire downstream channel and the cable modem status indicated as scanning. Does this process normally take this long or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Hi

I appreciate what you are saying. My problem is that I cannot get to enter the required settings as the modem is in the process of scanning to acquire the downstream channel. Am not sure if I am explaining this properly and ifs that the case my apologies.

Thanks
