hi
i bought dm500s i have fixed sly dish with single lnb. i have installed this image pli-Jade2-dm500-old-framebuffer-20090322-6302.img i have set settlite to 28.2E Astra 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D but it just goes on scanning any help if i m doing some thing wrong
pls help

Give folks a chance - dont be so impatient.

You asked less than 12 hours ago, its been a nice day so folks are probably outside enjoying the sun.

Also many folk dont log in every day.

Normally we say give it anything up to a fortnight before asking again. If you cant wait that long then find a shop to have a look at it for you.

why not download a chnl list via the blue button in addons
you will need to set it to be online.

As you have a single lnb and fixed dish, it is likely that your satellites.xml file is one having all transponders for all satellites from 80W to 80E. As the search cant find signals, it is taking ages and appears to have stopped.

Have a look at your satellites.xml file in /var/etc and edit it so that it only includes the transponders for 28.2 E and 28.5 E. Save it and try scanning again.

i have connected to pc i have send file satellites.xml through dreamboxedit even no luck

I assume that last entry should read ber and if it is anything above 0 it means you are not on a sat signal.

Can you check your lnb cable to make sure you have a good connection without any stray wires shorting out the signal.

there are no free premium chnls on 28e
