Default Autoserve an OLD config file!!!!!

Tested this now for 4 weeks. with spot on results!

If you've got Haxorware, upload an old (before all this hassle started) config file in the Autoserve bit.

DO NOT check DHCP bypass.

The modem gets its assigned config be it dynamic or not but just doesn't use it, it uses the one you've uploaded....

Acquire Downstream ChannelDoneObtain Upstream ParametersDoneUpstream RangingDoneEstablish IP ConnectivityDoneRetrieve Time of DayDoneNegotiate securityDoneReceive configurationDoneRegister connectionDoneCable modem statusOperational

HFC Parameters
Mode DHCP
IP Address**.**.***.***
Subnet 255.255.255.0
TFTP Server 10.137.***.*
TFTP Filename cmreg-ntlhm256-rts98.cm
ToD Server 62.254.**.***

Configuration file
Namecmreg-ntlhm256-rts22.cm
Size80 bytes
Compliance DOCSIS 1.0

Now because the old config files dont have all the new crap in them, it simply doesn't use it. e.g. CVC (i think) and the rest of it.

You will still need to do this one command...

cd nonvol
CD snmp
diag_disable_post_reg true

You can also disable the ToD if you like.

Now, I have just one little problem......

On certain modems (it appeares to be nothing to do with firmware or modem model) the lease between the modem and router/pc keeps being dropped. The telnet connection and/or Haxorware web GUI is still ok. It just seems to be the www access. This is resolved by doing a ipconfig release and ipconfig renew in dos or disabling and enabling the nic. If using a router, do the same with the internal web GUI.
This conectivity drop seems to be when the modem isn't being used and I think it may be something to do with the standby button thing Fitz has been working on. I think in his readme file with his fix he may have typo'd the command because i cant get it to work.
Any help on this last niggling problem will be much appreciated.

I do have the old config files stored if needed.

Good luck and please report back to let me know if this has worked for you.

This has been tested in C+W for the past 4 weeks using 298750000 as the freq.

The modems went off for a couple of hours yesterday while they sent an update out to their subbs but they came back on by themselves.

I have been using a 256 mac and an old config from a 256.

Ive noticed that you are on a different firmware to me im still on 1.0rc3
You havent got on your general settings:

you can do it using ethernet easy, just go to haxorware.com or whatever it is and download the latest pack, then read the readme in the upgrade folder
