Default Does a Digital+ Sub work on both Astra and Hispasat?

Hi,

I wondered if someone could answer a query I have...

With Digital+ being available on both Astra 19.2E and Hispasat 30w I wondered whether you could unplug the box from Astra and attach it to Hispasat and it still work? or whether it was 2 separate systems you had either one or the other if that makes sense.

The reason I ask is that I have relatives in Spain who currently have a dish pointing at Astra 19.2, I have a dish pointing at Hispasat 30w so I'd like to take out a subscription at their address and then move the box to my dish in the UK.

Would be grateful if someone could confirm whether that's possible or shed any advice...

Cheers

I don't have a D+ subscription but I believe that the encryption is the same on both i.e. Nagra 3 and expect the card should work for both. Hopefully someone who really knows will chip in with info.

Thats not entirely correct

Digital+ used 2 Encryptions on 19.2e, Nagravision 3 & Seca (Tunneled Nagra)

Although the Nagra 3 ROM180 card should in theory work on both satellites
