Hi mate ,im sure your sorry you asked now, lol, there was no need for name calling from anyone, anyway welcome. As mentioned its best to keep a small package, lets say you already have a tv & broadband package, then just cancel your BB package & get a hacked modem or do one yourself. Personally if i was you i would wait a while before you go cancelling anything because there seems to be allot of problems with modems lately, they arnt worth the hassle me thinks.

Iv only modded ambit250's so i couldn't really recommend which is best but you will need a max232 interface & cable, tutorials in downloads.

good luck

Lets be realistic here, Sky shut out the hackers of their service, even if it took a while, and they have been secured ever since, the new cards to users suggests NDS may have been close to being broken, but in turn the new cards on the way out now send that one back to square 1.

What makes anyone think thats VM arn't eventually going to have a method of encryption that works in the same manner? It appears modems are already becoming nearly impossible to get working correctly, and when they do there seems to be no specific reason as to WHY they are still working.

It's only a matter of time IMO
