Default 7w !!!

i was playing around the other night with the sat and went on 7w not expecting anything as im in north wales with a 1 mtr dish. BUT i picked up a few channels they only have a weak signal 25-35 % and on the vert transponders i have checked on lyngsat to check the channels match up and they do i was wondering if there is anyone else out there who can manage this or is this a fluke!!!

depends on dish size I get most of the channels on 7w with a 1.8 dish in Northern Scotland
so you should manage on a smaller dish where you are

The 7W transponders are stronger than usual at the moment, I have been getting a few horizontal transponders, which I don't usually. I suspect that when the signal levels return to normal that you won't be able to get much of Nilesat anymore.

Yes, Nilesat indeed strong atm; weak Vs stable and a few normally unreachable Hs come in at night from about 10/11PM.

Its the very weak Horizontal polarity transmissions that need the extreme size dishes in the UK. The V's are about twice as strong and should be just about visible on 1m dishes in much of the UK.

I read someone had all V's and Most H's 24/7 on a well set up 1.2M channel master in South London so it isn't that hard

Please don't be so negative Robbo as I've yet to get my TD110 on the wall yet and i would like 7W

, It depends where you doesn't it, whether you will or not.

Yes, its not that difficult, I have had all verticals and all horizontals from Nilesat before now, with 6 inches of snow on the dish with heavy snow falling at the same time. It was on a 1.8m though.

In the Midlands for example, a reasonable 1m ( eg Gibertini) will get some stronger verticals.

Well for the life of me I cannot ge a signal out of 7w with a 1m up here in west yorkshire. The only thing I have not done though is stop up till the early hours trying. I prefer my sleep.
