Default Time to Post I think, issues with mulitple devices...

First off, a quick "Hello!" to everyone @ Tech Watch, specially people like Fitz and L-eeds for all the help I have recieved from just reading your posts and troubleshooting.

I know this is my first post but I'm not really much of a poster, more of a troller than anything and have been using the site for the past 3-4 months as a resource for getting myself up and running with a modded SB5101e and without the info here I just wouldnt have a clue!

Anyway, to the matter in hand, so I have managed to get my modem up and running, I pay a sub to Vermin for the basics, and have everything running smoothly, got myself a list of good MAC's and all that jazz, but, one thing that has now got me stumped it something as simple as the cable line into the houuse...

If I connect my modem directly to the input to the house, everything is dandy, ranges down, then up, syncs and Im up and running instantly, but as soon as I use a splitter (official one from Vermin, 2 way) the modem wont sync, constant flashing light on the upload (ranges down ok) but the TV is fine.

So, I decided to by a signal booster, ended up being a waste of money as I didnt bother looking into it as there was not return path so that was fail from the off (re-sold on eBay so got the money back) on the up side, the TV picture was better...

OK, so now I buy another signal booster, but with a bi-directional port, this is also full of fail and wont sync, same issue as before, TV picture is great btw... lol

so, my question is, I'm looking at running my modem and a STB (possibly 2) and wondered how the hell I go about it before I go and waste more money on stuff I "think" I need.

I noticed that cockneysean and 666 mentioned the Konig Yellow brick as the way to go on signal boosters, but just have no idea on where that would go in the set up and if it would actually work.

Any assistance would be appricated

Mucho Love <3

Awesome, same setup as I want, 2 blackboxes and the modem, watching a few yellow bricks on eBay atm, cant post links yet but I'm guessing

"Cable TV Signal Amplifier/Booster Konig Pro30A Active"

will do the trick? and are they all 1-in-1-out, cant see any with multiple outs

i got g.c all the way up and s.c all the way down m8,if you got a dreambox just go into info 3th page and you can adjust the signal there, but the above settings are good m8, just put it before youe splits so it runs everthing
