Hi Guys,
I have locked all the porn channels on the box, however, a PIN is required to unlock movie channels due to one of the options in Parental Control Settings set to "Standard" As most of will know, "Standard" will require a PIN depending on the rating of the movie and the time you are trying to view it. As far as I can see, there is no option to set this option to OFF. Any way to get around this please? It's annoying to enter a PIN everytime I wanna watch Jurassic Park at 9am!! Thanks, |

Just learned this is something to do with OFCOM.
Any way to beat the system? The goal would be to have a PIN for movies and another PIN for all the adult content. Is this possible? Cheers |

You need to enter a pin until 10PM. This is a requirement of VM mate and you cannot remove the pin, only change it.

Any way to set 2 PINS? I don't mind giving the family 1 PIN for the movies. But I don't want them to access the porn. If not a second PIN, any way to achieve a workaround? Cheers B |

Hey bud,
Thanks for the reply. I was wondering, what is talkback? Is this is something that can be enabled/disconnected from within the menu of the V+HD box? Thanks bud. |

talkback is the return path (the box comunicating back to vm) it can be disabled with a 50db revers path blocker that can just screw on the back of the box or by disconecting resistor 202 in a v+ and variose other ways depending on the type of box.

So where can I buy one of these path blockers? Can you show me a picture of one online? or do you mind taking a pic of the blocker on your unit and hosting the image? Many thanks, |

HEY MAN,
Im almost certain I have one of them on my Brobadbane modem. Aat the moment I have the 2 way splitter. The main NTL line plugs into the IN connector of the splitter. The 2 OUT connecters, I have a white NTL cable going from one OUT into the back of the V+HD box. Then I have a black satelite cable going from the 2nd OUT into the cable modem. Before it screws onto the cable modem, it screws onto a device that looks exactly like the blocker shown on the ebay listing. I'm sure it says 15db noise attenuator or something like that. Going back to my setup, the blcak cable is screwed onto this little attenuator, and then the attenuatore screws directly onto the cable modem. If I buy one of these talkback blockers. Where do I plug it in the setup i described above? Will it screw directly onto the V+HD box and then the white cable coming from the splitter, goes directly into this blocker? Wish there was a diagram. Cheers guys |
