Sorry dude. The only way to repair the 250 is to swap out the TSOP (the flash chip that contains the firmware).

Other than that I would love to help!!! There are a few guys on here that do TSOP lifts for a very reasonable price, or if you are so minded, you could do it yourself but the cost of it makes it a bit prohibitive. For example, to get the bits to repair it would probably cost you about 50-60 quid, thats with a soldering iron factored into the price.

I've never done a TSOP lift so I can't help you

You can either get someone to fix it, fix it yourself, or sell the bricked modem on ebay, people still buy them bricked, and then put the money from that to another Ambit 250. You'll still get 5-10 pounds for it bricked, and then all you need is another fiver towards it for a fresh 250. But to be honest, I think you are always better of with a SB5101 or a Webstar 2100 as they have a JTAG port so that you can unbrick them very easily.
