Exclamation JTag Utility

Hi just wandering if anybody out there had the jtag utility so i can flash a motorola surfboard 5101e modem. The reason i am asking is the schwarze katz tool does not seem to be working for this modem, I have been trying for hours and still keep getting errors when it comes to the bootloader, it is starting to do my head in. I have the blackkat lead and the pin header is soldered in correctly but i still cannot get it to work. After reading a few posts have found that people do not seem to have a problem with the jtag utility. If anybody could send it to me it would be much appreciated as i have tried googling for it but cannot find it.

google 'jtag utility toms' and im sure youll find it. i think im right in saying that bc doesnt recognise the flash in that modem. there are patches for bc to let it recognise that flash thou.

when you download jtag utility, it isn;t really user friendly. so here are the commands....

detect
ldram boot
program boot
ldram flash
program flash
getram flash
getram boot
save flash
save boot
program image0
program image1

CODE
help
cls - Clear Console display
cmpram - Compare memory between target and PC memory
detect - Detect the JTAG devices
flshlist - List all the flash types
getram - Get the memory from target to PC memory
ldram - Load memory
peek - Get the word data of a memory
poke - Set the word data of a memory
program - Program flash memory
save - Save the data in the memory
setram - Set the memory to target from PC memory
tablist - Show memory tab

i usuially do full 2mb flashes on it as im usually debricking.

i use ....

'ldram flash' (opens bowser window to choose firmware.bin)
'program flash' starts writing it to the chip

I think he just wanted JTAG Utility on its own, not the instructions.

You can find it here:

I have tried using jtag utility but now all i get is a single light on the modem that goes on and off i cannot revert back to the original settings as jtag utility and schwarze katz will not let me but it is saying the firmware is loaded onto the modem but it cannot find a config file. Also it will not let me access the web gui on 192.168.100.1, 192.168.100.1:666 or 192.168.100.1:1337. I tried using 'ldram flash' (opens bowser window to choose firmware.bin)
'program flash' starts writing it to the chip. But now i cant seem to do anything can you tell me were i am going wrong or how i should be doing it. Any help would be appreciated as i have been doing this modem for a few hours now and it is starting to wreck my head

iy takes about a hour to program a 2mb flash chip byte by byte.

if its still a brick, use a full 2mb dump. i'll sort you with one tonight if you;ve not sorted one.
