Default C-1501 Howto

Hi,

I just got a C-1501 card and want to watch NTL tv on my PC.

I know this has been asked many times before but how do I do this?

I need a step by step guide for a complete newbie.

Please link to any other post if necessary.

Any search I do just comes up with a load of differing options and no real easy to follow step by step guide.

Any help would be great and again sorry as I know this is probably asked loads.

install the card
install the bda driver
choose a tv software
and go from there

yes, there are really loads of differing options, card/software/hardcam/softcam, so you would have to chose your combo and post back with questions.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice.

I have installed the card and got vplug to work on progDVB.

The problem is that when I do a scan I only pick up about 30 channels.

I am in Dublin Ireland. Is there any way of finding a transponder file for NTL Dublin.

I am clearly not scanning the right frequencies.

Also do you know what is the best DVB-C viewer out there. ProgDVB is ok but it uses 55% of my CPU when running and uses 55% of my CPU when switched off. I have to restart my machine to fix the issue.

Thanks a Million for the advice

Im running windows vista 32bit

I use Mediaportal, the other big name is GBPVR. did you do auto or manual scan? I find that an auto scan in MP gives me all the channels available. ymmv
