Default New way of decrypting V+?

Hey all

Just heard from a friend of a friend that he has some sort of method of decrypting the V+ box to watch all channels. He said he plugged in "something like a memory stick" but I could be mistaken on that. As far as I was aware the USB port was disabled anyway! If I'm not mistaken, the general gist of it is that he pretty much just plugs something into the back of the box.

I'm almost sure he doesn't mean a smart card.

So I'm here to pick your brains! Has anyone ehard of this? Is it new? Is it simple? Any ideas on what he could mean?

Cheers folks, just curous!

Never heard of that one? cards the only way as far as i know.
You can load some sat boxes like the technomate with a patch that way with a memory stick, but i dont think the V+ has the memory to store it, you would still need the boxkey etc to decrypt the channels.

Ok so ye think the guys just talking mince and/or got mixed up? Is it likely it's just a pirate card?

I used to have a e*****x so don't really have any experience with the cards. Would you need an adaptor or something for it (because a card is pretty distinguishable from a memory stick type thing, even for the computer illiterate!)

Its just a normal card but it does go in the back.

Yeah it seems like that's what he was on about, dang...I got all excited there.

Kind of intrigued by this card busienss though. Is there anywhere I could find a tutorial? Isn't talkback a problem for the boxes ie, surely it isn't fool proof! And could I purchase a 2nd V+ box from ebay (messing with sub equipment is a massive nono apparantly!) and use that?

Probably won' do it, seems risky, but I'm interested now!

Using a second V+ box would work fine , but when purchusing such a box you must have a valid BK with it from a paired card or given the numbers or the box is just a FTA recorder , could be an expensive risk .
