Have you tried making a 0/0 config?

That should give you the maximum possible attainable speed with your modem.

Try it out and post results, that would be interesting. Seems to only be working in certain areas though. So you are obviously autoserving, any chance you could email me a config to try? email me on over9000 at hushmail dot me

thats with zero's, i wasnt impressed but the modem is totally operational, not had a drop in internal/external ip yet

now we have established that making own / editing existing configs 'works' we need to know what the stuff in vultureware means....

we know that CPE is customers premises equipment, meaning how many external ip's the modems gives out

whats network access control?

whats class of service privacy enable?

whats class id?

class of service privacy enable - Something to do with BPI, not sure if its entirely or partially linked to it.

network access control - probably related to the config itself, for example, can anyone confirm what the NAC is for a cancel.cm? Does it differ from say, a 20meg mac? If so, would it suggest this is what allows/disallows network access?

well the upstream transmit burst doesnt like being changed, either to 0 or 3200 from 1600
