Dreambox 500 satellite & cable boxes

I dont think these can drive motorised systems, but this seller has some for sale-roughly a tenner cheaper than other chinese sellers. Unfortunately, there are no cable boxes for sale and no chinese seller is selling something like the openmedia 500cs for cheap Ah well, I guess £110 isn't too bad for the Openmedia 500cs-Sorry for trailing off

I asked them if they have any cable ones and I got this reply

Buyers-I think you should wait it out when the dollar is weaker eg: yesterday it cost £61.48 with free delivery to the UK and today it costs £60.63 with free delivery to the UK, but the price is still $93.99 you dont save much, but every little helps

Not sure who's reading this, but heres an even cheaper price 720HKD(delivered), which today is £58.6379(delivered) and the trend is that it will get cheaper as the GBP gets stronger against the HKD

No news on the cable side yet, but I have emailed the seller

The sat units do drive a motorised system and both the sat and cab versions (the ones i got) are of good build quality. You may get charged around an extra 10% import tax which you pay to the courier.

I suppose 10% isn't that bad eg: you buy from the monkey, it costs you £70.70 with delivery. Customs sting you and make you pay £7.07 extra

With these ones from eBay China/Hong Kong then even if you have to pay £6 extra, its still cheaper than monkey's

With regards to the seller who is selling for 720HKD, I haven't got an email back yet about the cable receivers. To this US seller selling for $88.55, I have asked them if they have any cable versions, now I just await their reply-will keep you updated

I have now got a reply from rick1ststore about the dreambox 500c, this is what he said

I do have 500c. It is the same price as 500s. You
can just buy the
500s and then leave me a message. 500C will take about
three days to
proceed the order before shipping out.

So if you want the cheapest(either dreambox 500c or the dreambox 500s) go with rick1st store for $87.55(and you get a one year warranty)

EDIT: I have seen that sunday071213 has the dreambox 500s for $86.99 which is cheaper than all of them-just will need to explain about the cable version and Ive still no reply from hyebox who is selling for 720HKD

toddstore had the Dreambox 500s for $83.99(It may have got pulled off now)-but I reckon you can still ask them for one and they could invoice you

When I asked them if they had any Dreambox 500c's, I got this reply

I can order it. It takes three days. You can buy

message for DM500c. But you will need to buy at least
two.

If you're like me who is new to the sat side and still want to keep the cable side if everything fails , then theres a seller selling the openmedia 500cs which does both sat and cable and if it gets pulled off eBay remember its £89.99+£8.99 postage

For all the people on cable, you ONLY get the free channels on sat eg: BBC1, BBC2 etc... unless you insert an official viewing card. This box is better than the Dreambox 500s as it can power a motor properly(so that you can view other sats), unlike the DM500S
