Default Starview 1 - Genuine & Clone

Hi all,

Im a Eurovox user but a friend of mine has asked me to flash his starview 1 (genuine) and his mums Starview 1 (Clone).

I flashed them both today with the .bin files CryptStar v1.5-Core400 (gen) and CryptStar v1.5-Core257 (clone).

Once done it searched for transponders and channels which it found but says scrambled or bad signal when on the $ channels.

Am i using the correct firmware or am i doing something wrong?

Any help greatly appreciated

Cheers for the reply Smoggy.

However ive got the clone working now, found lots of duplicate channels so deleted all then rescanned - Sorted.

Now for the genuine one!

Well there you go - the genuine one works now that ive turned EMU on.
Just checked the Clone - EMU is off but still works! Have now turned it on just to be sure.

How come one works without EMU & what is EMU?

Cheers again Smoggy

the way I see it is the emu (emulation) simulates the way the cable company's firmware works to descramble the codes
when it is enabled it locks on to a channel and this helps it to calculate the codes quicker
