Hey guys,

Finally got my dvb-c card, and cables and junk, plugged it all in, splitter in the main box outside and then straight into the back of the PC.

Ive got both of the programs DVBDream and ProgDVB working with the card, but cannot for the life of me get a signal and some channels :/

Is there something Im doing wrong? I followed both guides in the FTA and installed the new all.list file etc and still no channels :/ no signal :/

Can anyone lend me a hand please? Let me know if theres a setting I need to to tweak to get it to search.

Im about to test to see if the splitter worked in the main box oustide and plug that cable into the back of the box and see if it gets a signal.. Fingers crossed

I can confirm there is a signal coming in through the cable upstairs as the virgin media box was able to tune to a channel :/ so im stumped any help to get a signal going in progDVB would be greatly appreciated lads

After a bit more searching after hours of it already lol, ive been told to try the original twinhan driver using mediaportal and hopefully i'll get a scan going.. fingers crossed!!!

No luck, this is driving me crazy!!!! Is there anybody out there who can help please? Im losing my mind, would I need a splitter if the cable is coming directly from another splitter at the box outside? also is there anyway to get a signal booster or anything?

I installed the driver and I already had the latest directx and still no signal.. think it might be the splitter? everything else seems to be working fine with it :/

They sell them in B&Q 2_way_splitter_large.jpg in the satellite accessories section, can you attach your feed direct to your card??

Right let me try and explain how ive hooked this all up the best I can describe for you..

The box outside connects both our living room and a port that was deactivated upstairs. So in order to reactivate the port ive added a splitter to the wire which has activated the port upstairs.
From the port upstairs i have led a wire directly from that into the back of my computer. Ive tested this on a box and it looked like it tuned into a channel so i assume the port works.
However when I plug it into my computer whatever the program I get no visible signal.

Would putting a splitter on the end of the wire before I put it into my computer be a good idea? Would it increase the signal at all? If not is there a booster I can buy?
