Default ambit config tool

hi, flashed modem with sigma -x2 1.28, ex c&w area, getting mac from different urb tonight. can someone please run through these settings with me...
Do you leave the modem ip as 192.168.100.1???
usb nic mac address???????
tftp server ip?????
i take it that you just choose any tftp filename (speed) from the list???
and also dont really know if i should overide tftp config???
sorry for so many questions, spent nearly a week trying to flash modem and dont want this screen to beat me, any help will be great, thanks guy your the best...........

i think you'll be lucky getting sigma to work.

i cant get any 3348 based modems to stay on for longer than 10 mins.

but, if you insist, at present....

leave your modem ip to 192.168.100.1
usb mac = hfc mac -1
tftp server ip will disapear if you choose not to override tftp config, as will the tftp filename, i suggest you do exactly that

think i'll take your advise and change to a different one, which one do you recon for ex c&w, i take it i will have to re-flash my modem with this new software??

well, if you have sigma on it, you can go to 192.168.100.1:1337

you need to set your pc nic ip to 192.168.100.10

put sbmod5100.bin in your ftp root and run your ftp program
in the bit at the bottom where it says to upload new firmware put in filename of sb5100mod and ip 192.168.100.10 and update it that way

set network card to 192.168.100.10 tried going onto 192.168.100.10:1337 and it just brings up This page cannot be displayed message....
went onto 192.168.100.10 and it has let me into a "surfboard configuration manager...... do i still need the 232 chip connected??

no, you can do this by ethernet

you go to page 192.168.100.1:1337

is there any point trying? AFAIK ex c&w is the worse at the mo for modems especially ones not supported by haxorware

online now with a 200 on 5100mod, not sure how long it will last. i'm just using a 20mb mac without any trimmings.
