There is NO extra charge for the upgrade, and you wont be getting a new modem as some members may think, vm just flash up 10mb to your existing modem..FREE of charge ...jay

When i first visited the speed upgrade site, it stated that I needed a new modem and I could have one sent out for free. I contacted VM and informed them that my SB4100 supports 36meg and the next time I went ion the site, I just had to register for the upgrade.
The speed was upgraded 48 Hours later

Hi, the £2 is an increase in price of the service regardless of whether anyone has had their speed increased.
Their website is a bit poor when they say that you will need a modem when this is not the case. I have a 255, I was informed I needed a new modem and one was on its way to me. When it did not turn up, I rang them up. The person told me that my modem is fine even for the 20mbps service so a modem is not on its way. Not that I needed to be told. Anyway, they are upgrading areas at different times. Have a look on their site which should tell you when your area will be "boosted" . They seem to go to dynamic configs first before upgrading the speeds with people registering getting a priority. The checking feature should be working, if not there is always 150. |

I reckon if people complained you wouldnt have to pay the £2 extra a month and you wanted to stick with 2Mb. Ive been upgraded and I notice s*** all of a difference

You may just have to wait it out until august/september then when you get a new modem even though you received the 10Mb broadband already and you're paying for it. If you dont get it in September, just complain to VM
