Hi all
Hope somone can help me out here please. I've formated my Freecom external harddrive to fat32 with Linux OS due to Windows 7 OS having its format taken away from it!. I tried it in the Eurovox EX7000 HD+ usb slot but it would not work. My external hardrive is a freecom toughdrive custom 250gb which has no external power supply. Can anyone help me out please. e.g does this harddrive have a power supply i can order? could I use an external harddrive in a caddy of some type, if so would I need a power supply to that too? Thanks DidsZZZ |

Your problem appears to be the caddy. You describe the type that draws it's power from the USB connector - the EX7000 does not provide power for the caddy, it needs to be a self-powered type.

Thanks for that lincsat.
My external harddrive is not in a caddy it as its own power it draws from the PC. 6v I have e-mailed Freecom to see if there is a power adaptor for it! Its states you can plug an external harddrive in the ex7000 usb 2.0 and thats what I have. Thank you for your help |
