Hope this is in the right place ??
Hi all, Well I think I am going to be one of them newbie’s that will have to tip the lot in the bin. After about 2 weeks of messing about with this I think that now I am ready to jump of the roof, I have a 90cm dish ,motor and receiver all setup as to the book ( even went out and got one of them satellite compass things ) but all I can get is a signal of 69% but 01% quality, I would be happy to just see a test card. So please someone before I jump,,,,, HELP. I would appreciate it if someone could just talk me thru it stage by stage. Do I start with the dish facing south and the motor at 0 What angle do I set the dish My Lat is 53:34:37N My Lon is 2:52:45W,,, what do I put in to the receiver And anything else I need to know. Many thanks ronsin ![]() |

Start with the Motor at 0 and the dish approx South - well 1W (there's a satellite there to aid pointing). The dish and bracket angles should be detailed in the instruction book.
Once you get a signal on 1W, you can start spinning the dash, not too far at first, and peaking it on any satellites that you find. Take your time and you will get there in the end ![]()
