Default Odd Virus (Possibly??)

Hey guys,

having a wee bit of trouble with what seems to be an annoying virus. Basically, I start up my computer and it decides to switch itself from my XP theme to the classic theme automoatically after a few minutes. I have no idea what is causing this, so I can only assume it is some malware of some sort.

Also, when I go to volume control it won't open and says no audio mixer found or something like that. I'm lead to believe t's a virus going nuts on my system because as soon as the computer starts up I can open the volume control, but after a few minutes I'm not able to.

Hoppefully someone can help. It's not doing any serious damage as far as I can see, but it's mighty annoying!

I'm running XP SP3, and have done a scan with AVG Free 8.5 and Spybot with latest updates, and found nothing. Weird.
