I got the ladder for £25 from a carboot(Went originally to look for a cheap drill). What I bought is something pretty similar to this I can probably borrow a drill from an uncle if Im lucky. I got the setup from eBay for £42(delivered)Well and a forum contribution of £10, so £52 for the dish, motor and LNB

Well I checked dishpointer today and I got the elevation of 30 degrees. When it says 30 degrees is this theoretical or actual?

So the motor will automagically set its own elevation when the dish is moved?

Read the motorised setup guide stickies.

But basically, yes. The axis of rotation of the bit that goes round is aligned to the earths polar axis. Meaning the in the middle the dish looks up more, and at the ends of the motor travel, the dish is looking very close to, or at the ground.

LOL after all this time, I tried putting the stuff up but I couldnt thanks to the low power of the drill my uncle had. Anyway the next door neighbour can put it up for £20 which is v. reasonable. I reckon I can do all the fine tuning. Just the drill was not a good one

For that £20.00 you could buy a drill from b&q that would do the job. It wouldn't be up to daily use, but atleast you would still have the use of it for 12 months until the guarantee ran out.
