Update: We eventually got it up. My dad being "clever" got a drill from someone and attempted the install himself with a bunch of friends, and he did a very "clever" thing. He put the dish where it blocked the Sky mini dish's line of sight(even though I protested) They also did a botchy job when they installed the motor to the pole

Basically when my receiver was hooked up to the 100cm dish I received no signal-I thought I may have done something dodgy with the long/lat. I then unhooked the cable from the motor and connected it straight to the LNB and connected to the Sly minidish. I got a "no signal" message and I tried to nudge the dish to get a better signal, but I could not.

I then turned the dish all the way around, so that the Sly dish could get a clear line of sight, however, I still got a no signal message. Could this be an interference problem?(seeing as the dishes are so close?) I have uploaded some pics as well-See below

On the 2nd dish I moved it that way on purpose as the Sly minidish picked up no signal and I thought if I could move the motorised dish completely away the sly dish could get a line of sight, but it could not. Instead the Sly minidish got a no signal message

I may have messed up however when I input the long/lat I had no idea whether our long was east/west and whether our lat was north/south. Yes I know that may sound stupid, but I didnt know(and still dont know) whether the long/lat lines follow the way of the earth eg: We live in the north western hemispehere. Also my lat was -1. something or the other and I had no idea how to input that in(I am using the nabilosat image)

Anyone got a clue as to why I dont receive a signal on either box? My dad and his friends are quite ignorant when it comes to DIY work-they wont use instructions at all

It is quite possible that they have knocked your Sky dish, in the process of putting up your new dish, so that you no longer get a signal.
I suggest you check the cable run, from the Sky dish, just to see all the connections are right, hook up your Sky digibox and see if you get a signal.
If you can't then try hooking up your Sky receiver to the big dish, move that back to 28.2E, and gently adjust the elevation, and position, of the dish until you get a signal.
As for getting everything to work I'm afraid you'll have to start again.
First check the basics, ensure your pole is vertical, second check that your dish is fitted correctly, something looks askew in the pictures, but that could be the angle that the pictures are taken from.
If your big dish is blocking the Sky dish you will have to move one of them.
As for locating your lomgitude & latitiude there are a few sites where all you need to do is type in your postcode, like here:

Thanks for the info. From the looks of it, I will have to pay someone to set it all working again. No way is my dad going to read any instructions

With regards to long/lat I know what it is, however my longitude is -1.911149. How would I input the longitude on my receiver? (Im using nabilosat on the openmedia 500cs)

we did try moving the big dish slightly, nudgint it slightly etc.. but had no luck whatsoever with it

its either entered as -1.911 or 1.911 west depending on the image, im not familiar with the niablo image so can't tell you which but it should be clear.

The sky dish should be fairly easy to realign, it just takes a bit of patience.
