certain questions on eurovox models max V 2008,ex5100 & 7000 - cdf , subtitles etc

hy,

Q1- i love my eurovox max v 2008 model becus of the cool small remote control & the subtitles function which work on most channels (unlike the ex1000) ,i would like to buy another 1 but see they are hard to find.Any1 know where i can get one (NO CLONES!ps-i know how to spot clones) & at a good price too ?

Q2- if i end up buying a eurovox 5100 or 7000....can i upload my old cdf files via the rs232 cable?

Q3- on 5100 & 7000 does the subtitles work for most channels? ie pressing yellow text button then 888? (on ex 1000 i know for a fact it does not).

Q4 - on ex 7000 is there a big difference on HD picture quality? i have a full HD tv , i know most channels are non HD...but still will the picture quality improve? DRAMATICALLY?

I dont think the max v was ever cloned and if you want one try eBay, however prices are something like £100 most of the time!Rather get a linux box for that much!

People say that pic quality improves, but we have a 42" screen with a dbox and pic quality is awesome. I really dont think that the EX7000's are worth the price

beleve me they exist!
there are no genuine Max 2008 anymore. The manufacturer stopped production about two years ago and every box that’s been sold since then is a clone/fake.hence i guess il have to buy a 2nd hand if its to be genuine.

Please be 100% sure of your answers,becus i dont want to buy & then regret. I hav heard contrary reports on cdf files of the newer evox versions.

Unless you buy an EV EX7000Hd then you can transfer your .cdf files over. The Eurovox EX7000 uses the format .tbn instead of .cdf, so in other words you can transfer .cdf files to any Eurovox you like provided its not HD

sat and cable sold me one for £84.99 and am wondering why it was cheap.

5100 you can get clones its the 5000 that i think have not been cloned yet but then again i think you can get a clone sl1000
