What a load of sensationalist claptrap. The system would have to lose a hell of a lot of satellites before accuracy was degraded to any great extent.

Headline grabbing media sensationalism. It is a US military machine, so the public are never going to hear if replacement satellites are being sent up and the military are not about to loose a piece of very important and much relied upon tech.
