Hi Folkes
Im hoping there is someone out there that can assist me ,,, using max232 and hyperlink the modem is detected but unable to use the 'p' option it says you have 2 seconds to respond ,, have tried this on numerous occasions but always seems to take option 2 ,,, any suggestions Thanks |

hmm, what happens if you dont press anything? does it eventually get to 'console disabled by vendor'?

2100 model ,, i found a wiring diagram for a poormans black cat ,, had to unsolder the 8 holes in the board to solder a 8 pin header into it ,,, still working on it hope it works will let you know ,, but if you find a way to get past the 'p' problem it would be much apreciated because my soldering isnt that good lol

Have you macde sure that you click inside the hyperterminal window first so you are sending your keystrokes to it?
This is a common mistake.... |

Another common problem is having CAPS LOCK on make sure its off and i couldnt get hyperterminal to work for me so i use putty works better for me instead of hyperterminal.

hi guys thatnks for all your help ,, as usual there are no better people to ask you are all fantastic ,,, i was up till 3 am and sorted it out to a point ,, the problem was in one of the settings when i created the hyperterminal session ,, i took the option of hardware when it should have been none ,, i found the information on the forum when looking for a wiring diag for a black cat cable which i was unsuccessful in making lol
so here goes for question number 2 i lost my original haxorware that i was using with an sb5101e but i had a back up dump of the working modem so i decided to use this dump with the webstar ,, it works woderfully well but there are no lights on the modem ,, anyone know if this is a common problem or is there any other vs of haxorware i could use ? thanks again guys by the way |
