Default iXtreme 1.6 0800 firmware BenQ, LiteOn, Samsung Team HyperX

>> A 0800 (ripping version) of the 1.6 series has been released to the BenQ, LiteOn and Toshiba Samsung drives. As usual Hitachi will be last to follow (if at all supported for 0800 mode)
Features:
-Common API designed for easier application use!
-Support for SS V2!
-Direct 0800 mode for game dumping including SS v2!

This firmware is =NOT FOR USE IN A CONSOLE= and is provided
with the intended use of being in a dedicated "ripping" drive.

This means:
a. Does not need your DVD key,
b. Does not need spoofing as another drive,
c. Does not need to use the tray half open and
d. Does not need to use the activate.iso to use this firmware on the pc.

More Info

SS v2 supports multiple timing samples for challenges type 5 and 7, storing them in the SS. This is a pre-requisite for SS v3 which has support for the so called AP2.5 check. Since this has never been used or may never be used by MS we will adopt a wait and see approach and continue to monitor for its usage.

Connectivity kit or your 360 as you would be the easy way m8 or you have to make a 12vol power-PC
5v (or PC) and 3v could be made from battery packs.

Right, I managed to get the 0800 firmware flashed onto my spare Lite-On drive. I am using the XBox 360 to power it but I need to know how to enable the 0800 mode. Can somebody advise me please?

Thanks.

Got this from a site im a member of, not sure if its what your looking for, it was a full tutorial but as you have already flashed i just copied this part hope it help, if you need the full tut, let me know

Using the Drive in Windows to Read in Xbox and 360 Games:

1. Burn the Enable 0800 ISO onto a DVD5 if you haven't already. It can be found in the upper right hand corner of the "MTK Flash 32" tab in JungleFlasher, as stated previously.

2. Shut down the computer and the DVD drive (or the xbox if you are using it to power the drive).

3. Turn the PC on and enter the BIOS. Once there, power on the DVD drive and put the Enable 0800 DVD into the drive. After about 10 seconds, eject the drive and remove the disc. Exit the BIOS and boot to Windows. (If using the 360 to power the drive, once the PC is off, power the 360, put the DVD in the drive for 10 seconds, remove the DVD, then turn the computer back on and boot to Windows).

4. Once in windows you should be able to see the 360 drive as a normal drive. If you right click on the drive and select "Eject", the 360 drive should respond.

5. Assuming it responds, you are now ready to read in your original games using Xbox Backup Creator or schtrom360xtract.
