i have to cleaned mobiles using what we term as Ro water (reverse osmosis) which has no chlorine or particles, both removed by 5um and carbon filters, then softened with a brine tank, then pushed thru a RO plant which remove almost eveything else in most of the aluminium. But only good for coffee tea etc. But yeah it does seem funny

Ok sounds like a damaged EROM to me you might still be lucky ive revived 2 k800i with this fault. The procedure is simple and easy to do. Follow this procedure:

1)Install the flash drivers from wotanserver

2) Get the wotanserver client from http://www.wotanserver.com
3) Start it up and erase all the login info
4) Connect the cable to the computer and hold 2&5 on the phone and plug the cable in.

5) Wotan should update the erom for free in about 30seconds

Detach the cable from the phone and leave the battery out for a few mins. Sorted.

If you cant do it or have difficulty PM me you can send the phone to me and i will sort it.

Thanks.

If your saying to me the phone is blinking a red light in the infra red port then your right the phone dont turn on as it has a damaged Erom or low battery. But by holding 2 and 5 together it will connect and update the erom. Sometimes 2-5 dont work if it dont hold onto the (c) button until it connects. Also forgot to mention before pressing 2 and 5 OR (C) remove battery and re-insert and then press it just helps phone to be recognised.
Good Luck!

hello again Smurf,, just a little update on my daughters serious problem with the Sony k800i.

I have borrowed a battery from a friend who has the same mobile, when I put the new battery in the mobile comes on straight away and flashes a white screen.
The phone will not turn off but keeps flashing the white screen about every 5 seconds,, I am praying this might be useful in getting it repaired,,, sorry to be a pain & thank you
