Default Sports channels via satellite [Not Sky!]

hi guys,

i am very new here so please bear with me! i have had a look through the posts to look for the answer to my question and it seems pretty clear that there is no way to get sky for free-but that's not really what i am looking for [although it would be nice!].

what i was wondering though is if there is any way to receive foreign broadcast sports channels here in the uk? i am always amazed when i go to asia to see all the live football that i would love to have here in england. i don't mind paying for a subscription-that's fine. the issue that i have with a subscription to sky is that there so many movie channels and 'entertainment' channels that i have no use for but will end up paying for. i would also like to see the american football and ice hockey. also unfortunately i am not in a virgin media area so can't opt for that.

any help would really be appreciated!

There are many ways to receive foreign sports chanells m8

obvious you will need a dish that points to the correct satalite or a motorised dish setup

there are many recievers that decode the chanells in different ways ie patched with keys or a software cam that conects to the internet for keys

Most satalite providers are moving to so called secure encryption of narga 3 and nds or varients of nagra which means u cant patch the keys but there are many other options..... the most popular being cardshare

Its not cool to talk card share on this forum but if you do a simple google search for it you will c what is availible inclueding the provider you mentioned in your origonal post

Personaly i like the linux receivers such as dreambox the world is your oyster literally
