Dream Box 500s Remote controller not functioning

Hi guys i need instructions.

Im new to Dream Box. From recently my remote controller does not function accordingly. Now my volume button is changing channels and channel selector is displaying the bouquets. The mute button is also showing the channel bouquets. I have no way to adjust my volume. Please help.

which image you use?


re flash install image, use universal dreamup via rs232

HI mate I would think that this has nothing to do with your image, so do nothing till you try this.

I do not have my 500s here, a friend has a loan of it, but in the menu there is a way to change the function of the remote and without the box here I cannot remember how you get to it. But what you need to find is the function to change the functioning of the remote to that of a 7020 box, if you search through the menus you will find it, change it back to the 500s functioning and all should be OK for you. I am sure you will find what you are looking for, it has been that long since I used my 500s that I just can't remember the key sequence to egt you to where you need to go, sorry I cannot be more precise. I am very, very sure that you have changed the way the way the remote operates.
