Default I get a stable connection for 2-3 hours then the modem reboots.

I managed to get hold of some MACs from a different UBR to me and they work fine for an hour or two then the modem reboots itself and won't connect again. Why is this?

I am using an Ambit 250 with the Haxorware security fix from the Cable Modem downloads.

Thanks.

Does it specify a frequency in the config file? if so change yours accordingly.

You mean the area frequency? I am in Ex C&W so it's 586750000, yes?

What I meant was if you open the config file in some area's it specifies a frequency and if your using the wrong 1 it'll kick u off.
Slight off topic but G77 have you managed to bruteforce using DHCP sniffer yet?

The modem doesn't lock onto that frequency, it just keeps saying "Scanning" . How do I find out the frequency for the MAC I want to use?

If you look at what config file is assigned to the mac you can then download the config file from the tftp server and open it with something such as vultureware and see if there is a frequency specified in the config anywhere
