Cant set netid on pace ditv1000

I am having trouble with a pace ditv1000...I am in a ex c&w area
I got this old box without a card, and converted the 8 no's on the scart
to give me the bk 16 no. code... I made a funcard from toxic7 using
the cw as my area,,I have done this once before with the same type of box
which had a mosc card...and had a result still working
This 2nd box is giving me grief...I cannot set netid!

This is what I have done so far
made a fun netid with "NetIDv2.1.7.2" I tried this in the box after removing
red shunt for 1 min or so..I repowered box and held up & down but coudnt get into em to check new netid...

I tried this several times.. but no go..I then conected a serial cable
and opened up in libdebug (libby) Powered up and change netid to n*l 41 050 and db clicked as per instruction's and exited.
I then powered up in tv mode with funcard already programed before...

Entered em freq..ok symbol..ok NETID..09999 not good???

I have tried this now about 5/6 times still netid has not changed
since then I have checked battery with volt meter,it reads between 2.99v / 3.00v
I have removed simm and checked for bad contacts BTW this only has 2 chips on it
and the software is code rel.P1 53.25d.cr2
when I just let it boot it goes from PACE / ---- / then 3 colured blue horizontal bands and channel one but no channels at all show

I suppose thats b-coz its stuck on 09999

Is there something else I can do to make this box work as it's driving me nuts!!

any help on this would be greatly appreciated .......

That's stumped me :|. Try the SIMM from the working PACE in the dodgy box?

Yeah! thats about all I can try unless someone stops me??? The other box has the 4 chip simm but dont want to "try and fry"

Got another box coming ??and guess what its another ditv 1000

Hi

If you use the 4 chip simm you will not be able to go back to the 2 chip simm.

At the moment is ok its on 09999. Libby needs to be tried a few times sometimes before it takes, are you using Libby correctly.

Are you sure you have correct ird and bk, how did you actually get the bk, did you check in EM if the ird you got from scart matches in EM.

I have not changed over to 4 chip simm yet.

Ans..In libby (16/08/200)I started program with serial cable in,then load the (1000_10001b_2000_CONFIG) click execute,, power on box, then bot rt pane fills with bites and stops.I selet netid for nthell seems the closest 41050
double cl and it transfer to top rt pane disconect and set up with tv
which does nothing but show 3 horizontal colour blue bands and a date

Ans...I got the ird from scart label and fed that no. into p****les for the bk

When in the em as I said the id is 09999 when I look at the nagra serial its nothin like the ird I have on the scart.. where is the ird proper in EM?

On the other 1000 box I have working, the nagra serial is the same as the no. on scart..

scart ird not correct em shows different ird

made a funcard to change netid this time it worked got freeview so far

netid is correct and pin set on fun

fingers xxxx got to make a fun for all channels

downside on old software will have to see if I can update somehow?

There you go you `re on you way now, should all be good now.

I dont think you will be able to upgrade unless you use 4 chip simm but then you cant go back to the 2 chip simm it wont work, you will have to keep the 4 chip simm in the box.

all ok now?
I have all channels working albeit on the old cr2 s/ware I am not complaining at all, In fact I am very happy with the result,the upside is I dont have the constant nagging to enter pin # every time I want to browse thro the movie channels.

Downside..This might be a silly fault, I cannot find an answer too, by reading old/new threads, I get a narration on certain movie channels for the visually impaired,I guess? any idea's on how to turn them off with stb/remote function as on cr2 functions seem limited.??
