No guide or tut as of yet, you'll just have to let DHCPsniffer sniff without using a base mac, very slow for results and limited also, but you should still get a couple/few.

Look around the first page on the forum it helps mate every ones connection is dropping after a hour or so its a bad mac keep changing it untill you get online for a few hours and dont force any configs!

using infinite on 250/55, using 250configarator--lot older software but always works a treat for me, most use the ambitco tool now though what ever its called ,

when modem goes off:-- OR IF DONT WORK

unplug the cable feed but leave the ethernet in if your telenting or just use the max232/233, and unplug power
load the '250config programme!' once loaded you can plug in power but no cable feed [coax cable/virgin wire]what ever u call it!

this will bring up a blue box with several options.
connect using max232 and selct the seril tab or if you know the user pass select the telnet tab and use that. .

you can now click connect

it will say 'connection established' then 'stopping channel scan'

and bring up modem details

change the mac to one you have sniffed, by brute force in dhcp sniffer

tuner type must = 19
annex mode must = 3
ds freq must = 331000000 depending on area your may be different-check before you do it, though if your here you shouuld aklready know this
admin stat must = 3

leave the 'config file' and 'tftp ip' BLANK or wont work modem will get these auto anyway!!!!!!

uncheck 'force config' or wont work [ie NO TICK]

upto you if you want to leave the tlenet tab ticked or not-not advised but if you do change the pass an user to your own

and 'max DL tries must = 4

ONCE HAPPY WITH SETTINGS THEN YOU CAN CLICK 'WRITE SETTINGS'

IF ALL WENT WELL YOU SHOULD HAVE A WORKING MODEM, BUT 1 MORE THING TO DO.... BEFORE YOU PLUG IN CABLE FEED--REMEMBER NO CABLE FEED YET OR U GET KNOCKED OFF STRAIGHT AWAY!

NOW CLOSE 250 CONFIGRATOR BUT REMEMBER WHAT MAC U PUT IN FOR NEXT STEP IF POSS!!

for windows XP vista shoukd be similar if not the same

WRITE GO INTO 'CONTROL PANE'L ON YOUR COMPUTER, THEN GOTO
'NETWORK CONNECTIONS'

RIGHT CLICK ON YOUR 'LOCAL AREA CONNECTON1' OR SIMILAR WHICH EVER YOURS IS USE-IT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS!

THEN GOTO 'PROPERTIES'
THEN CLICK ON 'CONFIGURE TAB'

THEN CLICK ON 'ADVANCED TAB'

THEN SELECT 'NETWORK ADDRESS' OR 'LOCALLY ADMINSTERED ADDRESS'

IT WILL BRING UP TO BULLET OPTIONS
1. NOT PRESENT
2. VALUE [SELECT THIS ONE] BY CLICKING BULLET

THEN THE MAC U PUT INTO MODEM OR ANY FROM LIST
TYPE INTO THIS BOX WITHOUT THE ':' OR WONT WORK AND CHANGE THE LAST CHARACTER BY -1 SO IF ITS A 9 CHANGE TO 8, OR IF ITS B CHANGE TO A, OR IF ITS A CHANGE TO 9 FOR EXAMPLE.

but ideally use the one you put into your modem but -1

OR MAKE ONE UP 12 CHARACTERS LONG MADE UP OF LETTERS A-F AND NUMBERS 0-9, ALWAYS START WITH A '0' THOUGH

NOW THATS DONE AND YOUR HAPPY!!!!!

UNPLUG POWER FROM MODEM

CLICK 'O K '

THEN OK AGAIN UNTILL ALL WINDOWS CLOSE, CLOSE ERVYERTHING YOU HAD RUNNING ON SCREEN OR ON BOTTOM BAR

RIGHT YOU CAN NOW CONNECT CABLE FEED TO MODEM, ETHERNET ETC, AND PLUG IN POWER U SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO

IF YOU GET 'LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY LEAVE MIN OR SO AND RIGHT CLICK YELLOW TRIANGLE AND GOTO REPAIR , IF THIS DOESNT WORK YOU
NEED TO TRY ANOTHER MAC OR YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING WRONG !!!

TRY AGAIN!!!

GOOD LUCK

i know this has been said in one way or aonther through ouit the forums but i have gr8 success most of time this way,

OH BY THE WAY IF YOU GET 'BROADBAND ACTIVATION MESSAGE' YOU CAN STILL USE DHCP SNIFFER TO BRUTE FORCE MAC FOR YOUR SELF, ALTHOUGH YOU CANT BROWSE NET.....ALSO BEEN MENTIONED AROUND FORUMS

How about starting your own thread instead of hijacking someone elses that doesnt even bear any relevance to your own.

Seriously, it's bad manners. I can understand you are desperate to get back online, but this question has been asked so many times on this forum that the only way that you can miss it is if you are too lazy or inept to look for it.

Also, it's a surefire way to wind people up and get the exact opposite result to what you want.
