Default Which receiver.

My Tm1000d+ is scrap. I have more or less decided to get a tm5200d super.
But have found that there is also a tm5300 box. The more that I read the more confused I get.
The tm5200 looks to be the box for me and the price is right.
I would appreciate your views on this receiver.

Its a capable box, but you will be very limited with it once most of the encryptions are tightened up.

At the moment you only have Digi TV on 1w and Rai on 13e and thats about it

Sent you a PM which may interest you

The Tm5200 is more or less a direct replacement for the Tm1000 with more channels and pvr via usb hdd capability.

The tm5400 (£30 more), may be a better option as it has a card nd a cam slot.

But as Nano says, you may want to venture down the Linux route.

You'll get all the help you need from here

Linux receivers are fairly easy to use once you get a grasp of the basics. Its just getting the grasp of the basic which is the hard bit

Question Re: Which receiver.

Hi All
I have a similar problem as pontiend but I have a:
FreeSat HD TV
Humax Freeview 9200 PVR twin tuner
60cm Dish
Currently have a Single LNB but need to get a Quad
I would also like to receive non free to air channels.
I have about £300 to spend on a Sat Receiver I have read loads of details on web sites and think I have got a bit confused with all the kit out there.

So I am looking for a twin tuner PVR HD Receiver.

ANY ADVICE WILL BE MOST WELCOME!!
