Hello everyone,

I have just upgraded my box to a Eurovox 7000HD and am very happy with it. I have bought a new 40 inch Samsung HD tele, and am moving to my new house next friday. All seems well.

BUT... i have just found out today that i am moving to an area that does not have fibre optic cable. It says on virgins website that i can still get National services, which includes free tele (over 40 channels). Is this tele through a cable...ie can i still use my box to get some channels?

I am gutted!!

national tele sounds like bog standard freeview to me pal, time for you to get a satellite setup.

Unfortunately, Virgin Media National Service is available for people who don't have cable access, so it sounds like you're stuck with just the freeview channels and no cable.

I am devestated!!! Anyone wanna buy a Eurovox 7000 HD box

Is there any way of finding out if they afre planning on making my area a digital area??

Best bet is to email them and ask.

Just say you cant do without your "superfast broadband"

Just a quick update. my box is fine...i'm a Kn*!

I was putting in the wrong postcode in the postcode checker.

Just put the correct postcode in and i'm in a digital area!!

Bet ur heart skipped a beat then. I know a street that dont have digital and its an old estate not new but all the streets and area around it have digital cable and i found out the reason they didnt have it was because they had a petition on the street for not having cable services in the street and they won so they have to cable in that street now. Lol.

They are probbably all wired up to the lamposts and dont what there power cut whilst vm are digging up lol

I know a street that dont have digital and its an old estate not new but all the streets and area around it have digital cable and i found out the reason they didnt have it was because they had a petition on the street for not having cable services in the street and they won so they have to cable in that street now.
