Hey guys,
I'm about to take the plunge and order myself a nice SkyHD box (not that im going to use it, but its cheap enough at the moment, I thought id get one) My question bears, obviously im going to have more then 1 Tuner in my PC for SkyTV (Actually I will have 4), which will mean I need 4 CAMs and 4 Cards, is it possible to clone the card, or share the card between each of the CAMs, so I dont have to pay a silly "multi-room" subscription for half a dozen boxes I dont have (Its bad enough they gonna get a £58/month off me) Thanks in advance |

Nope, If you want multiroom you pay for the individual subscriptions
![]() The only way round it is to card share round a home network. This will unfortunately mean you will have to buy 4 CS capable receivers ![]() There is no sucj thing as a clone Sky card and even if there was it wouldn't matter as Sky are in the middle of a card swap out so it would be short lived anyway. ![]() Nano |

There no such thing as sky cams, and no guarantee that the new cards will work with unofficial cams.
Thus to be certain of your extra programming in all rooms you will have to pay those nice people at Sky an extra 30 quid a month

Not sure what the limit is for No of devices run per card but you need to make sure you dont overload the card. |

Many of these sort of card sharing devices dont work with NDS Videoguard encryption.

Damn, it seams every plan I have with sky disappears at the start of it, I have nothing against sky doing this, but it seams a little farfetched to stop little old me from having it all going through my PC (its not like im the insane one by wanting it rofl) if everyone knew this kinda setup was actually possible (i dont mean you guys, i mean the rest of the UK that dosnt know how to google... aka. me :-D) there would be a lot more people jumping on this bandwagon.
The bulk of it isnt a case of "Sky TV for Free" its a case of 1 intergrated system, its what Ive come to love with VMC, and it has the Wife Factor (once I showed her and made her feel blonde again yay) But well... looks like ive given up before I started... all i want is the extra HD channels VM dosnt have :'( rofl |

For 3 rooms your geneous monthly pension contributions would be about 100 quid if you want HD in all rooms!

Yeah, I think Mr Murdoch's pension fund is big enough without me putting more into it.
Especially since I only want sky for around 30 HD channels (its not like i need the SD variants since i pay for all of them on cable) |
