It seems that the planned three strikes and you are out rule for persistent illegal file sharers, may not be coming into effect after all.Initially it was believed that the threat of disconnection for pirates was going to appear in the final Digital Britain report, which is due out next Tuesday the 16th June, but [...]

They've probably realised that whatever they do is unenforcable. Torrents etc may go but there are many other sources for material, most of which could make it impossible for the isp's to snoop !

To be fair, I saw those laws failing from day one, as you say, there are plenty of sources that are practically unsnoopable.

Saying that, encrypting your torrent traffic seems to prevent alot of throttling that would normally occur where said traffic was not encrypted.
