I have a Vimicro ZC0301PLH webcam which works fine when installed under XP but when trying to install on my new installation of Vista, all I get is a white screen for the webcam preview. Can somebody tell me why this is happening please?

The drivers are probably missing.

I installed the latest drivers from the Vimicro website. Vista did install some drivers for me when I first installed the OS but that did the same thing. I removed those and installed the new ones and I still have the same issue?

Heres a tip mate uninstall all drivers for the cam and make sure all traces are gone use final uninstaller( ill send you a link ) then deactivate user accounts in control panel then reinstall your drivers
ive dumped Vista ( to much trouble ) gone back to XP
you scratch my back
presume youve checked its compatible my web cam just would not work in Vista

It's sorted now, I don't know what I did but it's up and running perfectly
