Check in the settings menu to check if talkback is cut. Press Home, then go to Technical Stuff and check DHCP Status, if it says off then talkback has been cut. You will need an unlooper to unlock the card and the programmer to read it in Nagra Edit.

Hmmm what if it says Return Path is on (v+ box) and you still cant get On Demand?

When I do this, the box just crashes? and a reset is needed.

If you still cant get demand and the return path is on i think this will mean that your box has been blacklisted from the network.
Either that or do you have a Noise blocker filter on the back of your box? It should be a 50db filter as this stops talkback and also modders put this inplace instead of taking chips off the board as this freezes.

what is the model number of your box? cutting the talk is quite simple either cutting a track or removing a few resistors. If you unsure of what your doing buy yourself a 50db return path filter which just screws in the back.
