Default help needed please

i have 2 boxes that are open with cards and the talk back is off (as i cant get on demand etc ) i have just had v**rgin round to put and extra line in the bedroom.

i told the man that i like to move the official box upstairs for the winter. this means i have 3 tv points now, however the v**rgin man who obviously dont know abt the other 2 open boxes said that i need to put this connector ( see pics) in to the tv point when official box is being used at another tv point.

before he went ahead with the install he did ring v**rgin to get the go ahead and aslong as i put the connector in when not using box at new point then its fine he said.

im i ok to use all thee boxes or will this connector atract attention

mate as long as talkback is definetly cut then these connectors will not attract any attention and VM will not even know you have these boxes connected as the tracker/talback is cut. so best bet is to check if talkback is definetly cut by clicking setting on your remote and going to technical stuff to see if it says return path is off. if its off you are fine

You have been given a 75ohm termination connector.

The one in the middle.

They put it on open ports in order to prevent noise entering the network.

If you have open ports they can trace the noise back to you from the green box.

That is why they use the 50db noise blockers on some drops.
