Default Eurovox EX7000HD

Hi

I've just purchase the Eurovox ex7000HD and now I've realised through the forums that it can only pick up BBC1 HD and ITV HD (as the others are not broadcast on cable) Apart from that the box is working fine and am happy with it.

With this in mind is it worth getting a refund on this box and just replacing with the Eurovox ex1000SL or the Eurovox PVR ex5100? If so which would be the better box from these two?

I'm asking this question as is it worth the extra costs that I have spent on the ex7000HD without that many HD channels available.

Thanks

Personally I'd be straight back to where you got it from and be swapping it. I have had a Eurovox EX5000PVR for quite a while and I can highly recommend it. The EX5100PVR has superceded the one I have.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies so far, I'm happy with the box and have it all up and running nicely.
Maybe I should have done some research on these forums before buying as through browsing I can see that the Sky sports HD channels (the ones I wanted) do not currently broadcast through cable.
Just thinking if this box is worth the extra £60 to £80 over the other 2 boxes?

Ah mate, I'd stick with it now you've bought... If you're using HDMI then you're already benefiting from upscaling (that the cheaper boxes can't do).. And who knows, once all the HD channels start appearing these HD boxes might go up in price, becoming more expensive to buy, maybe..
:-)

That's what I'm thinking mate, by the time I return it for a refund (cost of postage) and exchange for one of the other boxes, it wouldn't be worth it.
Happy with the box rite now and hopefully some newer firmware will be out soon to iron out the lil problems people are getting with the ex7000hd

Hopefully more HD channels will be available later in the year or even next year
