Default Event log

Hi all, just a quick question since i got back online i have noticed a message coming up in event log and was just wondering is this normal for it to block or fail this update, are they trying to hit it? .This has come up a few times heres msg

SW Download INIT - Via Config file UBsgvca69834ncxv98732
SW Upgrade Failed during download - Max retry exceed (3)

It usually shows up after a reboot i think im on a ambit255 infinite

Well, the update would load the VM firmware to the modem, so yea, unless you actually want that to happen, it is indeed suppose to fail the update.

Just out of curiousity, what is your max dload retry setting? 0? 4? 2?

From the telnet commands thread, do this in telnet to prevent this happening:

docsDevSwFilename:
cd /
cd n/s
docsDevSwFilename C2941015FU031009_VM.cdf
write

docsDevSwOperStatus:
cd /
cd n/s
docsDevSwOperStatus 2
write
