Two modems, ones stopped working.

Any idea what could have caused my second modem to stop working? If i use the same settings on both only one will boot - and no i'm not trying to have them run at the same time i'm just testing with the same settings.

This second modem can get the downstream and it locks on to the upstream but then never gets past getting a IP.

I also noticed that the modem seem's to be stuck on QAM64 while the modem that works is on QAM256.

Both modems are 4200's with Fibercoax on them, they both used to work but are now dead.

Someone must have an idea?

hey bro, ive got a similar problem...ive got one sb5101 and one sb5001 with two different nic macs and hfc macs..the problem is that you can only run as you cant seem to have two ha*ked modems on at the same time. This is something that i affecting me and maybe is the same for you..as far as i know the only way to run to modems on the same line is if one of them is legit...if anyone has a soultion please let us know...

Some people run hacked modems in "parallel" so you don't need a legit modem alongside your hacked one.
