Cooool so the infinite fanbase is still strong lol. Good to hear
![]() Ah maybe I should have said I just prefer to use infinite over haxorware. Why??? I dunno I'm just crazy ![]() No really I had trouble even sync'n the modem with haxorware last time when I decided to upgrade (I had followed the guides that were around as well). Maybe I'll have better luck this time around, once I find some quality spare time to have another look at it. |

what about trying the new SB5101 Sigma.X2 build-125 for (BCM3349-modems)
it is very basic, but allows mac change and a few other fuctions ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- [SIGMA-X2 Build 125 BETA for BCM3349][FIXED VERSION] A DOCSIS 2.0 Modification for the SB5101 cable modem NOTICE: THIS FIRMWARE IS FOR THE SB5101 CABLE MODEM ONLY. (not true it does work on other bcm3349 modems) Features: * Self-Extracting binary (no bootloader required!) * In stream core, no system memory used. * HFC MAC and Serial changer * Embedded console / Telnet server * Factory Mode (Enable/Disable) * Config File Changer * Firmware updater (improved!) * NEW: HTTP now has an opperating status! NOTE: This is confirmed to work on WebSTAR EPC2100 but Must Not Be Loaded via the Serial (max232) Port Load it via the ethernet method using these commands and a Tftp server modem must have a previous shelled firm, infinite, 5101 diagnostic or haxorware, this method can be used with sb5101 and webstar 2100 cd /ip dload -i 1 -l -f 192.168.100.10 sigma.bin y cd / reset Works on SB5101, scientific atlanta WebSTAR EPC2100 and probably 250 and rca modems too, but need futher testing pack includes: a tcniso bootloader (unknown, not tested it personally) 1mb firmware 2mb Full Dump (for SB5101) 2mb WebSTAR EPC2100 Full Dump (makes life easy, stops bricking) picture of console and readme enjoy __________________________________________________ ______________________ loading sigmaX2_125 via serial to a sb5101 is ok, but loading via serial to a webstar epc2100 can cause failiure, so use the epc2100 2mb dump i suggest upgrading from a firmware that has telnet enabled like infinite, 5101 diagnostic, or haxorware, or similar ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Upgrading from previous shelled firmware (infinite), 5101 diag or Haxorware Set your computers ip to 192.168.100.10 Set up a TFTP server with Sigma.bin in its root Connect to modem with hyperterminal or telnet to the IP 192.168.100.1 Enter your username and password if required, then type in commands ---------------------------------------- if you need to Stop Scanning Frequency ---------------------------------------- cd docsis_ctl scan_stop cd / or cd cm_hal scan_stop cd / ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- scanning should have stopped, now carry on with the rest of these commands ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- cd /ip ipconfig 1 release y dload -i 1 -l -f 192.168.100.10 sigma.bin y cd / reset now your sigma should boot up, check the webpage 192.168.100.1 --------------------------------------------------------------------- ____________________________________ HERES A LINK TO Fixed no licence version: __________________________________________________ ______________________ SB5101-SIGMA-X2_Build125_Dumps_[bcm3349][FIXED].rar (3.73 MB) Code:

Being someone who's only capable of using a step by step guide, what do I need to do to get my Ambit 255 back up and running, which was working fine with infinity before all this crap happened. Is a case of just updating the config file, and will my sniffed mac still be good to use ?

make of it what you will but i think that firmware has little to do with whats been happening.
its a frequency/config/mac issue

Currently running a 250 with infinite using all of the MACS which got knocked off after 10ish mins using previous modded Haxorware. This is in Pure / static. Current: Infinite stealth 00:0E MAC with BPI enabled and software update values spoofed for a 250. 20MEG forced (rts22-nb) on a rts98 MAC. Doesn't mean it'll work for you, just an observation! sr20 |

ambit 255 on hax 31, autoserving custom config with no auth string without tftp bypass, new freq, no bpi, no spoofing of software version
modem maxes out at 42mbit a sec and just short of 3 mbit up

Lucky bastard
![]() I can't try it properly from here. Although I can see how it may work from the sparseness of the -b configs (with suitable MAC) on the new docsis1.1 frequencies, I can't lock the DS on any of them. Even the sub is on the rescue frequency ![]() Tehcnically it shouldn't work, it's not like it's impossible for VM to make a config error. sr20 |
